BOSTON, MA - Elite 96, the most prestigious futsal player identification program in the United States, is coming to Boston on Friday, February 1, 2019.

Being held in the gymnasium at Shady Hill School in Cambridge, MA, from 6 to 9 pm, the event is open to boys and girls born between 2004 to 2011.

The Elite 96 Program is the most prestigious futsal player identification program in the United States and Australia. Players will have the opportunity to attend a 90-minute camp run by professional players and coaches from top clubs from the top futsal clubs around the world.

In Boston, the Elite 96 ID Camp will be led by Rubens Almeida, whose lengthy resume includes being the Performance Analyst for Brazil's Palmeiras Futsal, one of the best-known futsal programs in the world. Also in attendance will be Jamie Waters, the director of both the Elite 96 and Top 12 Experience, and Zach Rocha, who coached the United States' Benjamin team at the 2018 Top 12 Experience in Barcelona, Spain.

The United Futsal Association and Xavi Closas, head coach of FC Barcelona B, have created a curriculum designed to provide players and goalkeepers technical, tactical, and physical and psychological skills from world-class trainers and players. Training is comprised of a variety of exercises including goalkeeper-specific instruction. Players spend quality time with the professional camp staff getting exposed to an international style of play while building the skills required to succeed on and off the field.

The camp will consist of technical exercises, futsal-speciļ¬c skill challenges and competitive gameplay. Only 96 players will be accepted to compete in each camp location. Local coaches will assist the professional staff and will be able to adopt the techniques utilized with their clubs after the camp is over.

Each age division is broken out into one 90-minute session. The first 30 minutes will be a warm-up for players and presentation of the Top 12 Experience for parents. The last 60 minutes will be observing skill challenges and competitive gameplay on the court.

Registration includes access to the 90-minute identification camp as well as all other camp-related costs including staff, registration, insurance, etc.

At the end of each camp, the Elite96 technical staff will provide player feedback and make recommendations for some boys and girls from the following divisions in each camp location: Benjamin (10/11), Alevin (08/09), Infantil (06/07) and Cadete (04/05).

Selected players will be offered a position to represent their region as part of the 2020 Top 12 Experience. This hand-selected team will have the opportunity of a lifetime to train and compete in Barcelona, Spain next Spring.
